Anxious Youth Presents YXX Swim III
abrasiveMedia is pleased to present our guest curators for our December art crawl, The Anxious Youth.
YXX Swim III is an interactive, multimedia experience utilizing the interaction between light, shadow, and reflection as vehicle for self-actualization. The space is separated by barriers both translucent and opaque but is brought together through sound and a shared experience in a transitional meditative space.
“ ‘Swim’ is a metaphor for navigating the internet age—we can’t escape it, people feel alone and like they are drowning. We’re here to guide you as we all swim through it. It’s all about reflection and being in the space where you are brought away from reality for a time and then thrown back into it with a better perspective, a better lens through which to see reality more clearly.” – Daryle Carstaphen (aka BlkSunChild aka Blk)
